Goal 4 - Quality education

The International Standard Classification of Education ISCED was designed by UNESCO as a tool for collecting and presenting internationally comparable statistics on education. It was first developed in 1970 by the United Nations

Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The current version of ISCED-F 2013 was approved at the session of General Conference of UNESCO in October 2013.

For statistical purposes Polish fields of studies are assigned by the CSO representatives in cooperation with representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to groups and sub-groups of fields of study based on the guidelines Classification.

Graduates of higher education institutions (excluding foreign students) are persons who obtained a diploma confirming the completion of higher education studies (after defence of the thesis) and received the professional title of Engineer (inzynier) or Bachelor (licencjat) awarded as a result of completing a first-cycle programme – vocational), Master's degree – magister (awarded as a result of completing long-cycle Master’s degree programme or a second-cycle programme – supplementary Master’s degree studies).

Graduates (included foreigners) in higher education are presented form the previous academic year, 2018 – concern persons who obtained higher education diplomas between 1st December 2017 and 31st December 2018. The data - presented by the actual location of the university excluding organizational units of Polish universities operating abroad, which were previously reported at the seat of the university; they include public and private universities, including schools of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
