Methodological explanations
International maritime traffic in seaports – the total amount of cargo unloaded from seagoing vessels (including ferries) and loaded onto seagoing vessels (including ferries), both in connection with Polish foreign trade and transit.
Transit cargo traffic in seaports – the traffic of cargo originating from a foreign shipper and destined for a foreign recipient, delivered to a Polish seaport by land, inland waterway, or by sea, and transhipped in the port for further transport by sea, land, or inland waterway.
Seaport – a commercial facility located at the interface between land and sea, adequately equipped technically, technologically, and organizationally to handle maritime trade, as well as to handle the maritime and land transport means involved in its transportation.
