Methodological explanations
This indicator measures the proportion of employed persons among the immigrant working-age population and is used to assess immmigrant labour market integration.
The numerator comprises employed immigrants aged 15-64. The denominator comprises the total immigrant population aged 15-64. The indicator is expressed as a percentage.
Employed persons (including self-employed) are defined as individuals who, during the reference week, performed at least one hour of work for pay or profit, or who had a job but were temporarily absent from work (e.g. due to leave).
Immigrants are defined as persons who have moved from abroad to the country with the intention of settling (residing permanently) or for a temporary stay.
