Methodological explanations

Emission of air pollutants - Release of dust and gaseous pollutants into the atmosphere in the organized (through stationary point-sources) or unorganized manner (from dumps, landfills, during reloading of loose or volatile substances, through roof and window ventilation, due to forest fires, etc.).

Total emission of main air pollutants from households includes:

• Sulphur dioxide

• Nitrogen oxides

• Carbon oxide

• Volatile nonmethane organic compounds

• Ammonia

• Particulates (as Total Suspended Particulates)
