Methodological explanations

Road traffic accident is an incident related to vehicle traffic on public roads, resulting in fatalities or injuries.

Road traffic accident fatalities include drivers and passengers of motor vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. A road traffic accident fatality is understood as a person who died as a results of injuries at the scene of the accident or within the course of 30 days.
