The category of households includes persons that, at least in one case, declared that they live in a dwelling with a leaking roof, damp walls, floors or foundation, or rot in window frames or floor.

The questions from the EU SILC survay:

untill 2014: Does your dwelling have: a leaking roof, damp walls, floors or foundation or rot in window frames or floor?

since 2015: Does your dwelling have: A. a leaking roof, B. damp walls/floors/foundation, C. rot in window frames or floor?

Notes The presented indicator (11.1.1 Share of total population living in a dwelling with a leaking roof, damp walls, floors or foundation, or rot in window frames or floor) is a proxy indicator to the one adopted in the official list of indicators of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The replacement of the original indicator (11.1.1 Proportion of urban population living in slums, informal settlements or inadequate housing) is due to the inability to obtain data for it. The proxy indicator has been selected so as to most fully reflect the essence of the observed phenomenon.
