Methodological explanations
The employed include people working under an employment contract and owners.
Mobile devices include smartphones, laptops, notebooks, netbooks, tablets used by employees for business purposes. These devices can connect to the Internet via mobile networks.
The source of data is the annual Survey on the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Enterprises (form symbol SSI-01). The scope of the survey includes entities employing 10 or more people, which conduct business activities classified according to the Polish Classification of Activities (PKD) 2007 in selected sections:
• Section C Industrial processing
• Section D Production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and hot water
• Section E Water supply, sewage and waste management; remediation
• Section F Construction
• Section G Trade; motor vehicle repair
• Section H Transport and storage
• Section I Accommodation and catering
• Section J Information and communication
• Section K Financial and insurance activities
