Unit
t/year
Available dimensions
total
Methodological explanations
Emission of gaseous substances into the atmosphere, the concentration of which exceeds the average content of these substances in clean air, negatively affecting human health and the condition and quality of the environment.
Characteristic air pollutants occurring in gaseous form include: sulfur dioxide (SO2, nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrocarbons (CnHm) and so-called "oxidants". Oxidants are secondary pollutants, created through photochemical reactions of basic pollutants. They include ozone, nitrogen dioxide, formaldehyde, acrolein and others.
