Morbidity is the frequency of new cases of a disease in the studied population.

Bacillary dysentery is an infectious disease of the gastrointestinal tract caused by bacteria of the Shigella genus. Transmission of the infection occurs by transferring bacteria on the skin of the hands or objects to the oral cavity through contaminated food and water.
