Methodological explanations
Maritime transport fleet - vessels used to transport cargo and passengers at sea.
Deadweight tonnage (DWT) - the weight of cargo and stores at summer loadline draft in seawater, expressed in tonnes (1,000 kg). The difference in tonnes between the displacement of a vessel at summer loadline draft in water with a specific gravity of 1.025 t/m³ and the total weight of the vessel, i.e., the displacement of the vessel in tonnes without cargo, fuel, lubricating oil, ballast, fresh water and drinking water in tanks, utility items, as well as passengers, crew, and their belongings.
