Methodological explanations
International passenger traffic in seaports – the number of passengers who, in the reporting year, arrived from foreign ports to Polish ports as the destination ports of their sea voyage, and departed on a sea voyage from Polish ports to foreign ports, including voyages on passenger ships, cargo ships and ferries.
Passenger transport by maritime transport fleet – passengers transported with both paid and free tickets in international transport (from Polish ports to foreign ports, from foreign ports to Polish ports, between foreign ports, and passenger transport on round-trip cruises to foreign ports), as well as passenger transport between Polish ports (when both the port of embarkation and the port of destination are Polish ports).
Seaport – an economic facility located at the interface between land and sea, appropriately equipped in technical, technological, and organizational terms to handle maritime trade, as well as the maritime and land transport means involved in their transport.
