Methodological explanations
Particulate pollutant emissions – the introduction into the atmosphere emissions into the atmosphere particulate fragmentation macroscopic and colloidal whose concentration exceeds the average content of these substances in the clean air, negatively impacting on human health and the condition and quality of the environment.
Particulate pollutants retained or neutralized in purification devices - the amount of particulate pollutants reduced in end-of-pipe devices used to protect the atmosphere.
End-of-pipe equipment – equipment that deals with the disposal and reduction of already generated pollutants. They do not affect the production process (production can be carried out without these devices), but reduce or eliminate pollution after their production (e.g. sewage treatment plant, landfill). Expenditure on such projects, in accordance with the methodology recommended by EUROSTAT, is fully allocated to environmental protection.
