Goal 13 - Climate action

Gross fixed capital formation – expenditure that increases the value of fixed assets and expenditure incurred for the repair of fixed assets and the increase in intangible assets.

Investments related to the protection of ambient air and climate – installations for cleansing and deodorising equipment (dust removal, reduction, disposal and neutralisation of gaseous pollutants) and installations applying chemical transformation reactions to substances less harmful to the environment, together with complete equipment and a set of necessary auxiliary devices ensuring the proper operation of the installation and equipment and apparatus ensuring the reduction of the amount or concentrations of pollutants arising or emitted, tasks related to equipping with air pollution control and measurement equipment.

The investments also include: new fuel combustion techniques and technologies; modernisation of boiler and heating plants in order to reduce pollutants excreted into the air resulting from the combustion process; unconventional energy sources (e.g. wind farms, use of geothermal waters); adaptation of internal combustion engines to gaseous fuel, as well as the construction of a hydrocracking unit.

Contaminant abatement devices, which are an integral part of the technological process ensuring the appropriate quality of raw materials and semi-finished products for subsequent production stages, are not included. This also applies to the installation of all kinds of auxiliary equipment necessary for technological or scientific reasons for the production plant.
