Social assistance aims to enable individuals and families to overcome difficult life situations that they are unable to overcome using their own rights, resources, and capabilities. Social assistance benefits come in the form of cash and non-cash benefits. 1) Cash benefits: - permanent allowance, - periodic allowance, - specific allowance, - special specific allowance, - allowance and loan for economic independence, - assistance for independence and continuing education, - cash benefit for maintenance and covering expenses related to learning Polish for refugees, 2) Non-cash benefits: - social work, - credited ticket, - health insurance contributions, - social insurance contributions, - material assistance, including for economic independence, - arranging a funeral, - specialist counselling, - crisis intervention, - shelter, - meal, - necessary clothing, - care services at the place of residence, in support centres and in family care homes, - specialist care services at the place of residence and in support centres, - sheltered housing, - stay and services in a social welfare home, - assistance in obtaining appropriate housing conditions, including in an apartment sheltered, - assistance in obtaining employment, assistance in settling in - in kind for persons becoming independent. |
