Methodological explanations
A day-care facility is a facility that supports the care and educational functions of the family.
The facility may be run in the form of: 1) care, including interest groups, day-care centres, clubs and educational centres, provides care and upbringing, help in learning, organisation of free time, fun and sports activities, and development of interests; 2) specialist – organises sociotherapeutic, therapeutic, corrective, compensatory and speech therapy classes; implements an individual corrective programme, psycho-corrective or psycho-prophylactic programme, in particular pedagogical, psychological and socio-therapeutic therapy; 3) yard work – carried out by the tutor, consisting of animation and sociotherapeutic activities. A day-care facility may be run in combined forms, i.e. combining the tasks of care facilities, specialist facilities and yard work.
