Methodological explanations
Organic farm – an agricultural holding applying organic production methods, which holds a certificate issued by a certification body or is in the process of conversion to organic production methods under the supervision of a certification body.
Certification bodies in organic farming are entities which, by decision of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, have been authorised to carry out inspections and to issue and revoke certificates of conformity in the field of organic farming (Act of 25 June 2009 on Organic Farming, Journal of Laws No. 116, item 975).
